A woman has been left angry after the windscreen of her daughter’s car was smashed in Blackburn.

The incident, which saw the windscreen of the Mini Convertible smashed on the driver’s side, happened between the evening of March 25 and the early hours of March 26.

Debbie Nuttall, 47, said the car was parked in Livesey Branch Road, Feniscowles, near The Foundry Tap & Kitchen.

She said the car was an 18th birthday present for her daughter Cameron and was also used by her younger son.

Debbie said: “Our CCTV couldn’t see the car as it was a few doors up from our house.

"Some neighbours have checked their cameras but we’ve had no answers yet.”

She also put out an appeal on Facebook asking people if anyone had seen the vandalism taking place.

She said: “Long shot, but has anyone seen anyone vandalising my daughter’s car?

"If you did, please message me, this has obviously been smashed intentionally.”

Cameron, 20, and her younger brother had been learning to drive in the car but have been unable to have any lessons with their mum since the damage.

As yet, the incident has not been reported to the police.
