An East Lancs charity has taken in a kind donation of Easter-themed gifts, as well as essential household items to help people during the cost-of-living crisis.
The items were donated to The Wish Centre in Blackburn by Swansway Motor Group as part of their Easter Patrol which donates gifts to charities across the UK.
The treat of an Easter egg and the fun of an egg hunt are usually staples for children around this time of year, but the current financial strain on households means that many will go without.

However, the donation of these gifts means some families in difficult positions will still be able to take part in the fun.
As well as Easter eggs, The Wish Centre also took in Easter-themed crafts for children and families to use during the holidays, as well as gardening supplies and essential household items such as toiletries and food.
Rebekah Wilson, communications officer and volunteer coordinator at The Wish Centre, said: “Thank you once again to Swansway Motor Group for their continued support, it is hugely appreciated.”

Swansway Motor Group director David Smyth added: “As always, our aim is to support our charity partners in a way that best suits them, tailoring our donations is one way that we can achieve this.
“What’s most important to us is seeing the smiles on the faces of those we have helped.”
